Change CIMC IP Pool of blade servers

Hello Team,

i have got into situation where i have to change the existing cimc pool with new network pool.

My UCS infra is configured with Directly on the CIMC, which means the IP address stays with the server.

For example : current pool 192.168.x.x and new pool will be 192.170.x.x

How to perform this change?

Will there be any impact or any downtime. I have to perform this change in Production.

Cheers

Andy !!

Hi Andy

This can be done without any disruption; delete the old pool, create the new one, and every blade gets assigned a new IP address automatically from the new pool.

Caveat: I assume this is still a requirement; the IP address of the FI and the VIP, have to be in the same IP subnet as the ones of the IP pool.

Can you please give me a little more detail on how to get to that screen. I also need to edit my ext-ip pools for the Cimc management and cant find the settings anywhere to let me edit the pool.

You will need to delete and re-create the pool. This is not disruptive, you will need to restart any open KVM sessions.
