I want to renew smartnet of our cisco UCSC-C240-M4S2, anyone know how to get the serial number if we not on front of the server?

Hi @hs08 you can access CIMC via web browser and get the serial number.

If you have ESXi installed and reachable, run following from ssh:

esxcfg-info | grep -m 1 Serial

Some versions of windows:

wmic bios get serialnumber

If linux, try

sudo dmidecode -s system-serial-number

or from windows operating system open cmd and type "wmic bios get serialnumber"
