Clearing faults in UCS

Hello,

I'm trying to clear some persistent faults within UCS and have a few that have me stumped. The UCS Faults and Error Messages Guide does not provide any details on how these faults can be cleared.

After removing the 1.1(1j) firmware update package, I'm getting faults regarding the missing packages.

<faultInst

I do not have any blades running that particular firmware, or any host firmware packages that reference those firmwares as far as I can tell. I suppose I could re-up that firmware package, but I really don't need firmwares that are that outdated sitting around. Any thoughts?

Hi Brad,

The UCSM faults clear when the condition causing the fault is taken care off.

In your case the fault is being raised since you have a firmware package "org-root/org-Mstates_Demo/fw-host-pack-Firmware1-1-1-j" which is probably still using an image for the 1.1j firmware.

Can you try and delete the package (if not required) or remove the reference for the version from the package?

That should clear this fault.

Hope that helps!
