Hey all, I was able to pick up a almost brand new UCS B series starter kit. It includes (1) 5108 (6508 model) chassis, (2) B200-M2, (2) UCS-6248UP's and (2) UCS 2208XP.
My question is can I convert this to a UCS Mini aka can I swap the 2208XP's with the UCS-FI-M-6324 and will the power supplies run@120V? I have the N20-PAC5-2500W PS and the spec sheet says input range is 100-120VAC, 200-240 VAC. I've heard mixed reviews that I can swap to the new power supplies that run @120V and that the UCS-FI-M-6324 is not supported in the older 6508 model of the 5108.
Does anyone have a definitive answer?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike
See

Support for up to two Cisco UCS 6324 Fabric Interconnects that connect directly to an external switch ■ Allows use of up to two internal 6324 fabric interconnects for redundancy or aggregation of bandwidth ■ The 6324 Fabric Interconnect combines the Fabric Extender and Fabric Interconnect functions into one plug-in module, and allows direct connection to an external switch.
So if your chassis is UCSB-5108-AC2 ypu are ok !
For smaller solutions, the Cisco UCS 6324 Fabric Interconnect can be used in the I/O slots at the back of the Cisco USC 5108 Chassis. The 6324 Fabric Interconnect is only supported in the UCSB-5108-AC2 and UCSB-5108-DC2 versions of the 5100 Series Chassis.
