DependencyError on fnic_driver_1.6.0.25-offline_bundle-3741467.zip" [

I am getting the following dependency error when updating the driver on a esxi 5.5 host. firmware version is 2.2(5)

according to the compatibility matrix, esxi 5.5 needs t be updated to 1.6.0.25 on the fnic

Hey Tony,

Take a look here:

It looks like you should be installing the driver with a .vib file extension vs .zip. Try to extract the .vib out of the zip and attempt the install again. Also, use the command as listed in the example:

esxcli software vib install –v /path/async-driver.vib

It seems that Wes is correct in the type of file you are trying to install. Here is another step by step guide on how to install the ENIC / FNIC drivers.
