I have received the following error code on one of our B200-M3 blades. There were no changes made to UCS about which I am aware. The LED on the front panel is green. I did not receive a "call home" notification. The error occurred several days ago. There are no known functionality issues. Google and Cisco Support searches were fruitless.
Description: Health LED of server #/# shows error. Reason: SASO_FAULT:Sensor Failure Asserted;
Type: equipment
Cause: health-led-amber
Code: F1237
Severity: Major
Does anyone have any insight as to the cause and remediation of this error?
Thank you. .. . . . ... .. . . . . . . .. .. ..

We need to check several things here:
What is the firmware version for UCSM, CIMC, bios and RAID controller for this server?
Do you see any event on SEL for sensor SASO_FAULT?
What is the HDD status for Disk 1 on UCSM?

Hi,
There is a chance that the hard disk is getting predictive failures.
You can verify this by opening KVM, reboot server, press ESC at Cisco splash screen, then during POST press CTRL+C to access LSI Config Utility, go to RAID properties and check if any of the HDDs have 'Yes' under 'Pred Fail'.
If this is set to Yes, the hard disk needs replacement.

I plan to follow your advice and check the LSI utility to see if there is a disk failure being detected. I will schedule a server downtime for this as soon as possible and report the results here.
Thanks again for the response. .... . . . . .. .. .. .. .. . .

I had encountered the same alert. Reset of CIMC fixed the alert.
