IOM is either deprecated or not supported

I have a Cisco UCS Chassis 5108 with IOM 2104XP but I'm not sure what's the firmware version of this IOM. Its connected to our standalone FI with firmware version 4.2(1i). From UCS Manager I can't detect anything from the chassis and the error message is appeared for IOM as below:

"IOM is either deprecated or not supported". I can't any firmware version listed in UCS Manager, can't update it, can't detect any servers.

Can I switch the IO module to other model which has later firmware version and connect FI? Because I've tried to change FC cable, transceiver, switch to second IO module also not able to detect it from UCS Manager. What can I think of is only the firmware version mismatch.

The error message is correct. The 2104 is deprecated and also not supported on 4.2.

You will need to install a 220X IOM or later.
