Local disk config destructive to current server

I'm hoping this should be an easy one to solve.

I have a C220 M3S server giving me the "Local disk config destructive to current server" error when I try to associate an SP to it. I don't care about data loss, as the disks are new and the SD card can be reinstalled. This appears to be a hangover from an old (long since deleted) SP with a preserved config enabled.

How I do overcome this?

the problem is related to the Protect Configuration setting that protected the disk’s configuration if the service profile associated to the blade was removed:

If Protect Configuration is set, the Local Disk Configuration is perserved on disassociation.

On reassociation of the same Server, a configuration error will be raised if the new Local Disk Configuration is different.

Try to create and associate a dummy SP with "any local disk policy" and "no protection".

Uncheck the "Protect Configuration" option in the Local Disk configuration policy, this will overcome your issue.
