Servers are ending up with two KVM

My servers are ending up with two KVM addresses. I have an IP pool ext-mgmt that's

handing a newly inserted blade a KVM IP. And the Service Template KVM Management

Policy has <net set> selected. So I'm not clear why it's getting a second IP. How can

I make sure KVM just uses the initial address? Thank you.

UCS can define multiple different IP Pools for CIMC/KVM for management of servers.

1) Equipment based IP Pool: LAN / Pools / root / IP Pools / ext-mgmt

See: Cisco UCS Manager Administration Management Guide 4.1 :: Chapter: Setting the Management IP Address

Or Static IP Address: Equipment / Server x / Inventory / CIMC / [Modify Outband Static Mangement IP]

2) Service Profile based IP Pool: Servers / Service Profile (template) / General / [Change Management IP Address]

If you only want the Service Profile defined IP. Then:

1) Remove the IP block from ext-mgmt

2) Create a new IP block and add IPs

3) Update the Service Profile (template) to use this new IP block
