Setting in CIMC - boot to DVD Drive

All,

Well I got my C200 M2 server's CIMC working.  Now I have a straight issue... so I know I am overlooking something.

I go to the BIOS Section and change the boot order and I have the following:

DC/DVD, IEF, HDD, FDD, PXE

Problem is... it boots to the HDD only.  I have a bootable DVD in the drive, I even have a bootable USB drive inserted... but it skipps both.  So I believe there is another setting I have to set... just not sure where.  I went to the Boot Configuration and on the first page all are set to disable (default I believe) but I have not checked anything else.

Am I missing something?

Quick tip describing the process for installing an booting from a USB drive on a UCS C-Series Server

I bet that will be a HUGE help... the problem is the java runtime.  I have the latest version on my Ubuntu and Windows 11 workstations and I can run the CIMC perfectly... the problem is the KVM Console will not load since it required Java 1.6.0_14 or higher... So I guess I need to figure out how to get that installed.  But the video seems to be the perfect resolution.  Any suggestions on the Java?

Try to install a Windows 7 virtual machine.

I will try that... I believe I still have the media

Window 7 VM failed.  I have it up but thanks top Explorer being obsolete I cannot upload any flash plug ins... why?  Because it cannot load these newer pages.  Any ideas as to how I can get around that?  My VMs are KVM on my Cisco Server that I cannot update thanks to not being able to get into the KVM.  So Any suggestions would be great.  thanks Cisco for being pretty bone-headed for how you designed these earlier staged UCS Server... Pure trouble!  Now i can see why your server lines are lagging.

Well I backdoored the WIN7 VM and got Firefox version 70 to load.  I even got an earlier version of flash plugin to recognize the login screen..the problem is it will not log me in.  States "server not Responding, please try later."  Well, there is never a later.  It is always like that... so I have to believe that the flash is not working 100% as it should.  I get the login screen, but it will not do much after that.  This is just a guess since I have not worked with Win 7 and Flash for several year like most of you.  I have to keep trying even though I have peeks my frustration levels several times.  It is just crazy Cisco has to make things this difficult instead of having any update for the CIMC but it is not supported anymore so that will never happen.  I will keep trying different flash version to see if that helps.  I can get into my CIMC from my Linux box and my windows 11 box but of course i cannot load the KVM console to actually change the BIOS... to make the boot ordering actually work.  It would have been nice that after I changed the BIOS boot order it would just work.. but there I go again making sense.  I will keep trying.  If anyone may know the actual version of flash I will need that would be a BIG help.  Thanks in advance.
