shutting down UCS safely

is clicking on shutdown in vsphere enough to shut down the server safely and removing the power? or there is further steps after doing so?

The general steps are

• Vmotion or gracefully power down running guestVMs
• Assuming ESXi host is healthy (no hung guestVMs/mgmt agent), power off from ESXi /vcenter level.
• Confirm physical host was powered via UCSM

If you are doing some sort of hardware changes such replacing DIMMs, adding harddrives, etc, then you may want to  decommission the server before removing power.

So if i shut down all vm , and then shutdown the ucs via vsphere , what should i do next?
