UCS C220 M3 - No Hardisk Found After Replacing the Chassis/Motherboard

Hello Community,

We have issue on our new replacement unit which is not detecting the Hard Disks after the replacement. We installed the Hard disks on same location/position on the replacement unit.

I got this error messages during boot up.

After boot up we can only get to shell prompt.

We also updated the server’s firmware to the same firmware we used before on the faulty unit but issue still persist.

Checking on CIMC:

Any idea on how to resolve this?

Thanks and regards.

Is the operating system installed the FlexFlash SD cards in this server?

During the replacement were all PCI cards removed from the system?

This information is important to know as you mentioned hard drives which would indicate to me that you mean physical 3.5 or 2.5 inch drives installed in the bays on the front of the server.  Those are different from the FlexFlash SD cards mentioned previously.  My answer will differ depending on this.

Wanted to confirm if you know if you had a "ROM5 or ROM55 embedded RAID upgrade" key installed on the systemboard, which allows the use of SAS drives?

Can you confirm the model # of the drive installed?

Thanks,

Kirk...
