UCS C240 M5S rear bay not detecting

Hello,

I am looking for some assistance with regard to the UCS C240 M5S server I recently purchased. It has 8 front SFF bays and 2 rear SFF bays. I planned to use the rear bays for OS raid 1 configuration and the front bays for generic storage. But when I plug in the disks that were in positions 1 and 2 to 9 and 10 (rear), it is not detected by the RAID controller. I use the "Cisco 12G Modular Raid Controller with 2GB" cache. Any help is much appreciated.

Greetings.

The rear drive cage 'should' be connected to sas cable.  Please confirm.

You should need the PID "UCSC-RSAS-C240M5" (C240 Rear UCSC-RAID-M5 SAS cbl(1)kit incl,bkpln for SFF&LFF).
Do you have a delivery note to check if the server was already shipped with this component?

I check it, and the part is not there. Neither I can find it online globaly to order it

I do find it if I search the CCW (Cisco Commerce, https://apps.cisco.com/ccw/)
It is listed as spare part via PID "UCSC-RSAS-C240M5=".

hi, how do i get access in there? when I tried using the community credentials, I get a  forbidden message.

Good question, I do not know what we did to gain access.
