Hi,
So my question is pretty basic. The C series servers act independently and can be managed by fabric interconnects does that mean they have built in fabric extenders on board that connect behind to FIs? so B series they have to be inserted in UCS chassis which means they dont have fabric extender built in so The UCS chassis has extenders that connect to FI, is my understanding correct?

UCS B is chasis, so it got simple Layer 2 switch on the back as FEX (bumb module) to connect back to FI
UCS C Standalone 1 U or 2 U box which got on board Ethernet, you can directly connec to sweitch (parent ).
NONe of the above has build in Fabric Inter connect.
