Hi,
We are having Cisco UCS running with firmware 2.2.8l (both infra and host). I would like to upgrade the firmware to 3.2 latest one (3f or 3j).
My question is can we able to directly upgrade from 2.2.8l to 3.2 3j? Is anyone done this upgrade before?
Also below are the specs we have.
FI - UCS-FI-6248UP
Chassis - UCSB-5108-AC2
UCSB-B200-M3 E5-2660 v2 - 1
UCSB-B200-M4 E5-2650 v3 - 5 nos
UCSB-B200-M4 E5-2698 v4 - 2 nos
Esxi- 6.0 U2 and 6.5

Correct. You will need to upgrade the blades to 2.2.8 before you upgrade the Infra to 3.2.
1. Upgrade blades to 2.2.8
2. Upgrade infra to 3.2
3. Upgrade blades to 3.2
4. Update your drivers
As a best practice, use Auto-install.

Hi Wes Austin,
Thanks for your reply. So we can able to upgrade from 2.2.8l to 3.2 x version. that's fine.
In our environment some blades are running with 2.2.3f version, so we need to upgrade those blades to 2.2.8l version, later upgrade to 3.2 ..right?
Regards
Ansar

Thanks for your reply. It's really helpful.
Could you tell me what is the latest firmware version that we can upgrade. Is it 3.2 or can we able to do 4.x?

I would review the UCS 4.0 release notes for any deprecated hardware, caveats, etc. You will also need to review the HCL to confirm your OS is supported if you plan to move the blade to 4.0 as well.
