Hi, Cisco Folks:
Really need you guys to offer your best practice's advices:
Customer Setup:
2 X UCS FI
Fabric A
------------
2 FC Uplink to 1 MDS, says with VSAN 111, this is hooked uo to Storage array1
Another 2 FC Uplink to another MDS, also VSAN 111, this is hooked up to another Storage array
The 2 MDS is ISLed
They use FC Pin Groups to hardcode the FC traffic
Fabric B
------------
2 FC Uplink to 1 MDS, says with VSAN 111, this is hooked up to the same Storage array 1 (AS IN FABRIC A ABOVE)
Another 2 FC Uplink to another MDS, also VSAN 111, this is hooked up to another Storage array (AS IN FABRIC A ABOVE)
The 2 MDS is ISLed
They use FC Pin Groups to hardcode the FC traffic
Q1.
If I propose 2 VSAN concepts as recommended by Cisco, will the above configuration need to be changed? I mean thing likes ISL from 1 MDS to another MDS.
Q2.
How about FC PIN GROUP for each Fabric?
This is the first time I see such a set up though I have seen the more mainstream ones many times,
Appreciate your helps.
