I have a "UCS C240 M5S" server to which I a want to use my SS certificate for CIMC. But when I upload a crt file, it waits for some time and shows a message that the connection has been lost. I tried other formats which is rejected by the server. Could someone help me with right steps for uploading custom SSL certificate? I obtained my certificate from CA and it is a wildcard one.

Wildcard certs weren't supported for a long time.
There was a pending enhancement asking for that (https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvh20443).
I am not sure it is actually implemented in the 4.12a version that bug lists, but definately would not expect wildcard certs to work on versions prior to 4.12a.
