Upgrading memory in B200-M4

Not applicable

I have some B200-M4s populated with 24x 16GB = 384GB.  I want to remove 8x 16GB, and add 8x 32GB, to bring the total up to 512GB.  I confused as to which 16GB DIMM's I should remove/replace.

I'm reading http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/hw/blade-servers/B200M4/B200M4_chapter_011.html#ID743

but its still not clear to me exactly which slots should get the 8 new 32GB Dimms.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi,

You can find the layout in the Technical Spec sheet:

http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/products/collateral/servers-unified-computing/ucs-b-series-blade-servers/b200m4-specsheet.pdf

I recommend you remove the 8 DIMMs in Slot 1 (A1 - H1).

Hope that helps.

Dave
