Hi.
We have UCS 5108 with B200 m3 blades.
After power outage 2 hosts can't boot to esxi.
In System Manager I see that they are in the Degraded status.
I can connect to KVM and see that they boot to BIOS.
In logs I see several faults:
Adapter host interface 1/6/1/1 link state: down
Adapter host interface 1/6/1/2 link state: down
Virtual interface 976 link state is down
Virtual interface 977 link state is down
Can you please give some advise what's the reason of this problem and how to resolve it?

Greetings.
Your vif paths are down because your OS is not booted.
If these are boot from san,, then you need to check your zoning, and paths to confirm the WWPN initiators of the affected servers are still zoned correctly, and can reach their boot luns.
Thanks,
Kirk..

Hey Kirk,
Could you expand on how the OS impacts the VIF paths? I had the same problem & you were right. I just need to know why.
Thanks
