vNIC Template-Adapter or VM for Target

Hi:

Can soneone tell me what is the difference with the 2 options-Adapter or VM from the Target drop down bos when I tried to create a vNIC Template?

Scenario 1:

Bare-Metal - I will select Adapter, is it?

Scenario 2:

VMware or other hypervisors - I will select VM, is it?

OR

I can SELECT both for Scenario 2 because eventually, it is going through the Adapter, then to the VM, etc.

Hi KP,

You can select the adapter option, since the template is for the static vnic on the OS.

The option for th vm is used when you implement the PTS or the dvs from the UCSM.
