The following Cisco UCS Platform Emulators are available for download from Cisco:
CONFIGURATION IMPORT NOTE: Importing configuration backups (All, System, or Logical) taken from the UCS Platform Emulator (UCSPE) to physical UCS Manager domains is not recommended or supported by Cisco TAC. UCSPE backups should only be imported to UCSPE domains.

does anyone know when ucs simulator 3.1 will be available
jan 20th already released
Um, no. It's still only UCS-Mini. Not the traditional FIs and equipment.
Right. I thought it was clear that I was talking about the PE version, since that was the thread I posted under..
Trying to install this as a VM on my Macbook under VMWare Fusion. I pulled the ZIP file and have unzipped to a folder but what are the steps to get the VM installed please ?
Hi, I use 3.0(2cPE1) - UCS Mini.
I try to create a VSAN, and I have got the following error message : Error creating VSAN - UCS-Mini does not support FC End-Host-Mode.
I founded some Cisco Live slide, dated 2015, when it is mentioned that UCS Mini supports both End Host Mode (NPV) and switch mode.
It is a limitation due to the version of the emulator ?
What is it in reality with UCS Manager 3.X ?
Thank you in advance.
It looks like for 2.2(5a) it took about a month from the UCS Infra bundle being released to the PE version, but I'm guessing with the new FI's that it'll take a little longer but I'd be curious to know if there's any ETA for a PE version as well
Hi Jacob,
The 3.1 UCSPE release is still under development - we are currently targeting release late in March.
Thanks,
Jason
Thanks for the update Jason.
I've been using the UCS PE to run UCS workshops for customers over the the year or so - mostly trouble free. I've been using the latest version (3.1.1) recently. It worked on my Mac when I first installed it, but now I can't seem to get the IOMs to activate - which is causing the end result of attaching service profile to hardware to fail.
Not sure if this started when I updated to OSX 10.11.4, but it was around the same time.
Also, one other issue I've noticed with the 3.1.1 HTML 5 client is that downloading of the stripped firmware does not complete. However, it works fine in the Java client.
The operation I'm performing is:
Equipment Tab -> Equipment
Firmware Management -> Installed Firmware -> Download Firmware
Hi Robert,
I'm checking on this now to see why HTML5 downloads are having issues.
Hi Robert,
Can you share what the IOM config looks like in the HW inventory content pane? I'm trying to attach a screen shot from my PE but communities isn't letting me attach at the moment. You can also check the cli status with "scope chassis <chassis num>" -> "show iom"
David,
For Chassis 1 (B200), CLI show operable:
In the GUI, Activation status shows failed:
I'm also seeing errors for the IOM regarding the same:
