We are considering upgrading our UCS environment to UCS 3.1.
We currently run UCS 2.2(3c) on our 6296UP FIs, and our MDS 9148 switches are currently on firmware 6.2(5a)
If we upgrade UCS to 3.1(1e) or 3.1(1g), how can we find out what version MDS firmware will work the best for us?
The interoperability matrices I found so far indicate what firmware and drivers for the HBA/CNA to use, but don't seem very specific with which MDS switch firmware version to use with what UCS version.
Is this something that Cisco has any guidance on?

Hi DQ,
If you look at the link (Table 1-4) below this should help show which MDS firmware will work best in regards to UCS;
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/mds9000/interoperability/matrix/intmatrx.pdf
Specifically it says "NX-OS 6.x and above from Table 1-1" which is located on Page 7 and 8 from the guide above.

You just need NX-OS 6.x and above from Table 1-1 - http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/mds9000/interoperability/matrix/intmatrx/Matrix1.html
