Hello folks,
We currently have 6120xp (N10-S6100 )fabric interconnects with a few 5508 chassis and blades.
Since 6120xp is hitting EOL, we are looking to upgrade to the 6248.
Does anyone know any documentation or steps I can use to upgrade the fabric interconnects and UCS manager? I need to keep all the configurations and data the same, but just transfer it over to the new to the new 6248 FIs.
Thank you and let me know if you need more info

Thank you Wesley. When upgrading UCS manager - where does it sit? Is it in the fabric interconnects or is it a separate server?

UCSM runs on the Fabric Interconnects.

Sorry for being so illiterate as it is the first time I interface with a UCS environment.
When we say runs on the FI, we mean that the UCSM software is installed inside the FI's flash?

This is correct. You have a virtual IP address that you use to access UCSM, however, you may be in a situation where you have only a single FI. So UCSM can run on either FI, but typically you access UCSM using the Virtual IP. You can also access UCSM from the IP address of the primary FI.

got it. would you know where to download the UCS manager software so I can look through the chassis, FIs and everything else?
Thanks
