UCS call home to external SMTP server

Hi,

I need to configure the call home for UCS

The SMTP server is external

Do I need only to route the FI-A, FI-B and cluster IP Addresses to internet to access external

OR How the UCS could access external network ?

And how to confirm that ? is it from FI cli ?

Hi Hythim,

From FI::

#connect local-mgmt
#telnet x.x.x.x 25       (this is the same test you ran from your desktop CLI, but this will show us if the FI can get into that specific ip address/port)

Can the Fabric Interconnect ping the SMTP server?

UCS(local-mgmt)#ping x.x.x.x
