We are in the process of upgrading 100s of ISR4K, both 43 and 4400s and have run into this bug on three so far. I'll try to provide status as we progress but figure there will be many more to come.

How did you use prime to push rommon code? it recognises the BIN file but not the rommon file.

I have a Nexus 7010 with one interface that wonlt allow CDP because it thinks it is in fex-fabric mode. There are no FEX configurations on the switch at all. I tried "default interface" I tried removing and adding interface configuration commands. I tried shut no shut, I tried no switchport mode fex-fabric. Nothing works. Any suggestions?
Ethernet2/25 is up
CDP is operationally disabled as interface is in fex-fabric mode
Refresh time is 60 seconds
Hold time is 180 seconds

I have a 6509 - checkpoint FW - 7609. Currently we are using static routing to get out however we would like to open the FW to allow OSPF through, OSPF will not be running on the FW itself. How do I than configure the switches on either end to form OSPF adjacency through the firewall(with no OSPF actually running on the FW)? TIA.

just to be clear if I have the latest IOS and boot statement to match but I have to reload to upgrade rommon will the first reload only upgrade the rommon and I will have to reboot a second time for the new IOS to take effect?

I can't seem to get a clear answer as to APIC-EM and its use with iWAN. DO I need to run APIC-EM in order for Iwan to function? Does the APIC-EM control daya to day operation and any troubleshooting of the Iwan solution? Can I use APIC-EM long with traditional CLI troubleshooting and configuration?

I need to migrate vlans from a pair of 6509s to a pair of Nexus 7004. I connected the 7004 to each other with peer-link and each 7004 has a single trunk to each 6509. The vlans show as trunking across the links but 2 things occur when I go to migrate a vlan.
1) both the 6509 and 7004 see themselves as the spanning tree root for a vlan even though I have tried setting priorities manually and using the macros (primary and secondary).
2) when I shut down the SVI on the 6509 and turn it up on the 7004 (these are setup as HSRP) , from either 7004 I can ping myself and the other 7K and the VIP address but I cannot ping any devices attached to the 6509 that are access ports assigned that vlan.
I know I am missing something obvious but I can't see it.

i have an ACE30 in a 6509 with one client facing vlan and one server facing vlan. let call them vlan 10 and 20. If I only want these vlans to reside on the ACE and not be configured on the msfc what do I need to do on the ACE and if necessary on the MSFC to advertise the client vlan(10) out to the network? There is no routing protocols running o the msfc at this time.

r98/99 is out of my management domain. I am requesting the admin of those routers to send me a summary route/s that can include the address space 10.219.4.0 -10.219.31.0 to r301/302. The P-toP links between r301/302 and r98/99 will be OSPF. There is no other routing protocol besides OSPF in this entire infrastructure. So on r98/99 they could be directly connected, or static or known via OSPF internal to those routers.
In the end the objective is to be able to advertise a default route from r301/302 into r98/99 and from r98/99 only allow the 10.219.4.0 - 10.219.31.0 to r301/302 and onto r11/12. Hopefully that clarifies it.

see attached drawing for reference. I have 3 sets of routers. r301/302 is in area 0 and 1, r11/12 is area 0 and r99/98 is area1. I want to redistribute the specific area 1 routes showing below r98/98 only and deny everything else into area 0 on r301/302 and only send default route into area . My question is can i use a single OSPF process on r301/302 or do I need to configire 2 different OSPF processes and redistribute from 1 to 0? if only a single process is possible what would an example configuration look like?
All the links showing on the drawing are L3 point to point /30s.

But when I try to add it to the vsan database with the following commands it only take the last one entered.
For example:
vsan database
vsan 500 interface vfc3130
I can't do:
vsan database
vsan 500 interface vfc3130
vsan 600 interface vfc3130
Only the vsan 600 to vfc3130 will show.
