Thanx Marvin. LMS, VMS and ACS are all separate servers -- hardware and software. So it sounds like if I remove references on devices and shut down the hardware servers I am good to go.

We have moved to another management product and want to shut off LMS and VMS, but retain ACS. CiscoWorks is an inherited product, unused by the current team (other than ACS), and I want to make sure to cover any gotchas. Any suggestions as to the process? Or maybe some white papers or links? By the way, the versions are old enough to be out of support I believe, so no TAC on this one. Thanx

I realize I should have said UNtagged the frames on the trunk, but you get the idea. It is seeming like I am only able to pass one VLAN over this topology. Anyone have any other ideas?

In building this scenario, I ran into a DOH! moment -- where is the other side of the trunk? The Fa0 interface on the AP cannot be trunked (I think). However, some success: when I tagged frames in VLANID on the switch-side trunk with native VLAN VLANID (OK, that is getting old, let's call L2 VLAN 500 and mgt VLAN 50). So when I set native VLAN to 500 on the switch port I was able to ping the PC NIC. VLAN 500, ping >-- trunk -- AP -- (bridge) -- AP -- > ping success PC NIC Now the issue is how do I get VLAN 50 across?

Hello- I am tasked with building out an autonomous AP system with surplus 1242s (AIR-AP-1242AG-A-K9). The topology would be: LAN (trunk) -- AP -- (Bridge) -- AP Fa0 -- PC NIC I need to provide a layer 2 VLAN access to a PC attached directly to the Ethernet interface (vendor controls layer 3 addressing). And I need to be able to manage the APs from an existing layer 3 management VLAN. DISCLAIMER: I am not a wireless guy. That said, in my (confused) reading I have formulated a plan to use interface BVI1 as management, create an interface off one of the radios: interface Dot11Radio0.VLANID encapsulation dot1Q VLANID native And then trunk the root-side switchport. Feasible? Way off base? (Better) suggestion? Thanx

Hello- We have a 24/7 schedule to push CDR records to an FTP server from our CUCM Publisher. We changed the FTP server IP and I updated this under Serviceability > CDR Management. However, no CDR files are getting pushed. I verified the schedule is still configured 24/7 CAR > System > Scheduler > CDR Load. Both Continuous Loading 24/7 and Load CDR Only are checked. I can FTP a file from a client in the same subnet as Pub. Any ideas? CUCM v6.1.4 Windows FTP Server Continuous Loading 24/7 Load CDR only Thanx

Ended up using Alternate Extension, the desire to have messages in both places did not override how easy this solution was. The only trouble I had was not knowing the first DN mailbox had to be deleted first. Wonder how I give myself solution points?... For those of you actually reading this thread: in Unity 4, go to the subscriber mailbox | Alternate Extensions, and enter the DN of the mailbox you want VMs to go to. Easy as that. Boy, sure is quiet in here

Hopefully this is an easy one for you all. A customer has a need to forward VMs received on one DN to be picked up at another. If copies can be left in both mailboxes that would be nice, but is not a requirement. We are running Unity v4, and CUCM v6.1(4). Thanx EDIT: to clarify though it may be apparent, this would be for callers to the first DN - if they want to leave a VM it would be forwarded to the second DN.

We are (finally) revisiting this. I want to confirm a few points before we proceed: a) Will there be an impact to SPT when enabling VTP? b) We are using Catalyst 3560s at the access layer, IOS v12.2(44) -- since these are not VTP v3-capable, any config considerations on the cores? c) Any other commands to be considered? or just "(config)#vtp pruning" on the cores?
