What is the destination-pattern look like when the gateway inbound and outbound without any prefix. And also too prevent call looping.

any digits you put in the desination patrtern will be dropped

eg destination pattern 0....... without a prefix the leading 0 will be dropped

also if destination pattern is 12345.. all the leading numbers are dropped (12345) only the last two not specified are sent
