Is it possible to call someone on a 7941 series IP phone and have the option to leave a message directly to their voice mail?
Thank you for looking.

Hi, I think CCM 5.1 defines a button to do this.
Else just press DND to silence the ringing.
With the first method, the caller can realize the he has been sent to voicemail due to the shorter ringback time, and this at times may sound as impolite.

The document explains Transferring Calls Directly to Voice Mail with Cisco CallManager version 3.2 but the idea will work with any version. Just as you could transfer you could also call the RP directly.

Thanks for your reply.
Is it possible for me to deposit a voice mail to someone else on a 7941 phone without the other user hearing any rings?

Hi John,
Have a close look at the good link that Jesse sent. You will find that this config would also apply to what you are trying to do. The configuration on the CTI route point line makes this all possible. In your example, the Directory Number is set to *XXXX (for 4-digit dialing) or *XXXXX (for 5-digit dialing)to forward to all mail boxes.
If the user with the 7941 has DN 7333, you can use this setup and dial *7333 to leave a Message for this user without ringing the 7941.
Hope this helps!
