Is there a way to have two line buttons for example on the phone and a single SIP Provider to have the phone system show a different outbound caller ID depending on which button is pressed.
For example right now they have 3 analog FXO lines. So they just select the shared line they want to dial out on.
Reason being there's a Home line and Business line, so they need to be able to have two different numbers show on the outbound caller ID wether we setup a different outbound prefix for example 9 then number for business or 8 then number for Home or two different extensions or some button.
Ideas?

Hi Edrick,
You may want to setup shared FXO lines on the phones. User can press the shared FXO line button to dial out without dialing the outbound steering digit. By pressing the different shared fxo line, the caller ID will be different.
Hope it helps.

Works fine with shared FXO lines - I use 8 to select my SIP trunk and 9 to select one of the two analogue lines.

Hi Edrick,
If I read your question correctly, you want to use a SIP provider for PSTN connectivity and based upon the line button you select send a different DID.
While we don't support Key system functionality with SIP, you can come close by setting it up this way:
For each DID you want to share across phones (and have a dedicated line button), create a shared extension. Then on the Inbound Calls page set up a dedicated route for the DID you want to associate with that shared extension and check "use DID for out bound calls" to send that DID in the outbound INVITE message. NOTE: The SIP service provider can always override calling name and calling number that you send out so if it isn't working, you might check with them. This is assuming you are using a SIP provider that supports multiple DIDs per account.
If you are using a provider that only gives you one DID per account you will still need to use the steering digit to select the correct oubound provider as other above have suggested.
Hope this helps.
Chris
