Hi Emanuel.
I have the same problem connecting 2921 router with CME to a BE3000.
Can you help with configuration needed in the Router in order to enable CUBE and establish a SIP connection between the two?
Thank you.
Danny.

Hi Danny,
You can enable CUBE feature with the following commands:
voice service voip
ip address trusted list
ipv4 x.x.x.x y.y.y.y
allow-connections h323 to h323
allow-connections h323 to sip
allow-connections sip to h323
allow-connections sip to sip
supplementary-service h450.12
no supplementary-service sip moved-temporarily
no supplementary-service sip refer
redirect ip2ip
fax protocol t38 version 0 ls-redundancy 0 hs-redundancy 0 fallback none
sip
registrar server expires max 3600 min 3600
I recommend you setup the ip address trusted list to avoid a toll fraud, where x.x.x.x is the ip address from a host or network and y.y.y.y is the subnet mask.
Setup a voice class codec, for example:
voice class codec 1
codec preference 1 g729r8
codec preference 2 g711alaw
codec preference 3 g711ulaw
Configure yours outbound and inbound dial peers like these:
dial-peer voice 100 voip
description *****Calls to CUCMBE3K*****
destination-pattern 17[4-9].
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:z.z.z.z
voice-class codec 1
dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric rtp-nte sip-notify
ip qos dscp cs3 signaling
incoming called-number .T
no vad
Where z.z.z.z is the IP address from CUCMBE3K
Please rate useful information.
Regards.

Hi,
were you able to establish SIP trunk between them?
When you say "through CUBE", does it mean that i need an additional hardware besides the CME?
Thanks in advance,
Tom.

Hi tomgolan88,
A voice router can be CUBE and CME at the same time, but it is recomended that voice router will be a ISR G2 or a ISR with IOS version 15.1 at least,
You can check these information,

I need to connect CME and BE3000, without CUBE.
Is it possible?

Hi dannyg@bynet.co.il,
A CUBE is a requirement to integrate your BE3K, so you have to enable CUBE feature on your CME.
Conclusion, is it possible, what are you CME version and hardware?

Hi Emmanuel
I have a Cisco 2921 with CME 7.1.
How is that I can establish a SIP Trunk between 2 CMEs without CUBE, and between CME and BE3K I need CUBE?
It won't work without CUBE or this is an unsupported scenario?
Regards
Danny

Hi dannyg@bynet.co.li,
In Mexico there is only a option to make a SIP Trunk through CUBE, so in my case I could integrate a SIP Provider for PSTN and CME enabling the CUBE feature on ISR.
I recommend you to upgrade the IOS on your 2921 to have at least CME 10.0.
