In case of a sitation where a customer have around 70 users disctributed over 4 sites connected via ADSL Connections, can we position UC500 Solution where UC560 will be located in the main site & other sites are using this centralized system? or we have to go for a bigger system like CME or UCM?

Yes, you can go with a UC560, but you should deploy 4 UC560 units for this kind of deployment.

Dear Sir;
Can you provide number of users per site? This would determine how many UC500 are recommended for such kind of deployment.

Hi,
I don't have the exact number of users per site but roughly they may have around 40 users in HQ & the remaining are among the 3 sites. It seems that you are referring to SBCS Multi-site deployment where we have a UC500 in each site & what I was checking whether we can have a centralized UC500 in one site serving all the users in all sites Can this be suitable as a solution?

Hi Alaa,
With a single UC 560, you can have to up 20 remote teleworker sites, with up to 5 users per teleworker site (from the UC 560 Platform Reference Guide: https://www.cisco.com/cisco/web/solutions/small_business/products/voice_conferencing/uc_500_series/index.html-tab-Resources). With this design, each remote site will need to have a teleworker router (800s ISR or SR 520).
If you have more than 5 users at a site, the customer will need to deploy an UC 500 at the site instead of going with the remote teleworker solution. The UC 500 runs UC Manager Express (CME) for call control, and hence is a distributed call processing architecture. In this model, you will need a separate call control local to each site, or use the remote teleworker option when the number of users are limited to 5 or below.

Thanks for the info. Another point, I know that UC500 can integrate with CCX but in a deployment where we don't have CCX, can we have the agents functionality on the UC500? Can the callconnect operator utilized as a contact center agent?

UC 500 has the Basic ACD (Automatic Call Distributor) feature that is in CME, and your customer can use this for basic call agent functionality. The Smart CallConnector Operator is meant for operator attendants to transfer/handle calls. You can compare the two in more detail here with labs 7 and 17: https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9836

Just to reconfirm, does the CME 8.0 has the same number of remote sites & same number of remote teleworkers per site as the UC500? Is there a data sheet about this for the CME 8.0?
