What are the differences between the SOHO 77H and 827H Routers? The spec's look identical? Is this a marketing thing like the 7600-series routers and Catalyst 6500-series switches?
Thanks
Andy

Andy,
The differences are in the DRAM memory (32Mb for the 827H and 16Mb for the SOHO77). The additional flash for the 827H is Intel "Mini-card" technology. Plus I think you can throw on different IOS images (IP Firewall/IP Plus IP/Firewall Plus/IPSec 3DES) on the 827H but are stuck with only the Basic IP/FW Image on the SOHO77.
Everything else - RISC processor (MPC 855T), processor speed (50Mhz), Ethernet capacity (4 port 10 Mbps Hub), flash memory (8Mb) and DSLAM Interoperability - is exactly the same for the two routers.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if it is possible to run 827 images on this router? and/or if the DRAM/FLASH can be upgraded?
Thanks
Andy
