I'm having a customer with a lot of Webex site updates recently, but he noticed the desktop App didn't automatically upgrade and he asked to manually obtain the new application offline file to install on the PCs, so i wanted to confirm the time cycle where Cisco Webex desktop app checks for auto updates, i have found some useful information regarding this but for the productivity tool below (every 2 hours) but what about the webex desktop app, is there any document or info for that?

Also an acceptable workaround would be (if available) to force the Webex site to display the auto update notification to the desktop clients manually.

Just curious. How slow is "slow"?

According to this article, the desktop app will auto update when it joins a meeting on a site that is of a newer version than the desktop app currently is. Otherwise, the desktop app is typically upgraded when your site is upgraded.
This would explain why some users are not being asked to auto-update. For instance, if those users were frequent attendees on Cisco's Webex meetings, Cisco is always running the most current and therefore those users would have a more current version of the desktop app.
