1832i as autonomous

Hi,

Got 5 1832i series LWAP .want to configure as standalone.Firmware is not available for autonomous.So can we configure multiple Access Point as Mobility Express controller in the same network

autonomous mode is not supported anymore in Csico APs.

For Aironet ones you must configure Mobility Express, where you use one AP as controller and the rest of them sharing the same subnet, or been redirected using DHPC option 43, will join the previous one. In case the ME AP came down, another will take the WLC role.

you can reimage AP with mobility express OS. then use that as a controller and connect other APs to controller AP.

You want to autonomous  - 1 AP Act as ME and rest AP will join the controller.
