3550 Config for multi VLANs on a 1200 AP

I am testing a wireless layout with multiple VLANS in a test lab sandbox. I am trying to run 3 VLANS across a 1200 AP. Lets say VLAN 300 (10.50.0)is 40 bit WEP, VLAN 400 (10.50.1)is open, VLAN 900(10.50.2) is 128 bit WEP. VLAN 400 would be the native VLAN with the AP 10.50.1.1 (I am using .254 for the gateways instead of .1)

The AP configuration is well documented. The problem is that I have a 3550 Layer 3 switch I need to configure Fa0/23 to pass the multiple VLANS to the AP. I have been unable to dig up documentation for configuration of the switch side. Can anyone point me in the right direction for documentation relating to this configuration or ???

thanks

Ah ha. Set the Native VLAN and all was good in the world. Three vlans, all different encryption, created three profiles on the client, three different DHCP scopes, all working perfect.

Thanks for the link.

Setup a standard trunk port on the 3550...

switchport mode trunk

switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,300,400,1002-1005

(the 1,1002-1005 are defaults)

switchport trunk native vlan 400

There are no specific trunk commands on the 1100 but by virtue of an SSID being mapped to a vlan all packets are then tagged with that vlan id

1)Define all your vlans

2)Define all your SSID's and map to applicable vlan

3)Define native vlan on ap

Hope that helps you out
