5520 "Show inventory"

I have a number of 5520 WLC's, and have been trying to verify power supply status on these.

Unfortunately, it looks like the "show inventory" power supply information is misleading.  For instance, this is the result from one of these 5520's:

>show inventory

Burned-in MAC Address............................ 2C:D0:2D:BE:B3:AB
Power Supply 1................................... Present, OK
Power Supply 2................................... Present, Off
Maximum number of APs supported.................. 1500
NAME: "Chassis" , DESCR: "Cisco 5520 Wireless Controller"

This would leave me to believe the second power supply is either turned off or not connected to power, but in reality there IS no second power supply installed.

In our fleet of 5508's, this is reported correctly  as "Not Present" if there is no secondary power supply.

Hi There,

What version code are you running on the 5520's?
I've got 5520's that shows their 2nd power supply as absent, running on 8.8MR1.

Currently the 5520's reporting the issue are all at 8.2.164.0,  Seems all of our 8.5.135.0 and 140.0 units do actually have 2 power supplies; at least based on the "show inventory".

There were also BIOS/CIMC upgrades for the 5520, maybe they also play a role here:
