Dears
i want to know the coverage of different access points of cisco models, i don't want to go with any wireless tool air magnet or etc etc to measure.
lets assume a client is asking for me the 10 no's of access points so what will be my choice 1815, 1830 1850, 2800, 3800 series, most of them have similar features beam forming, 3XMIMO, 2 MIMO, actually i m looking for the coverage in distance for example AP 1832 will provide you will 100 mtrs without beam or obstruction, also Ap1815 will provide me 50 mtrs and so on
Please help me to understand the concept to choose the AP and WLC
thanks

- A site survey is needed, because physical surrounding parameters, will also determine the coverage,

Sure you need to have site survey for better postion and coverage for optimal outcome.
look for an good tool : (Wireless survey on going required, if this large setup.) since many wireless interfierence will occur with out knowingly.

I know there are a number of wireless specialist who goes around (the globe) FIXING mistakes people make. And they make oodles of money. (As a matter of fact, one of them just showed off his brand new Ferrari!)

In a MARKETING &/or SALES perspective, this is correct. However, in a technical perspective, this assumption is wrong. VERY WRONG. With this kind of "assumption", I can guarantee that the wireless is going to be very bad with users in the outer "fringes" of the coverage area.
As what everyone (with years of wireless deployment experience) is recommending: Get it done right & get a wireless site survey done.

Dears,
Thanks everybody for the reply agreed that we need to have a site survey for larger number of access points in quantities we require a tool,
ALSO
Where there are old building with no drawings we can do the active survey with an AP on site and take a laptop and move away from the AP to see how the signals are decreasing.
But sometime in situation that client needs an urgent quotation we don't have time to do the active as well as passive survey, so we have to understand the coverage by the models numbers of AP's ,
so lets back to the original question what i want to understand theoretically is that Cisco has definitely mentioned benefits of 1815 against 1830, against 1850 and so on for other AP's i want to know the feature difference in point of coverage and speed ONLY lets leave the other feature of AP aside for the moment to understand only the coverage and speed feature.
Also please suggest which site survey tool is convenient and easy to understand quickly to do the survey
I hope experts are understanding my concerns.

A small correction here;
1832 and 1852 are Wave2 aps..
