Hi, apologies in advance if this is completely the wrong place for my question, but haven't had much luck on the main Cisco website, customer support pages.
I have 2 wireless access points I'd like to reconfigure. They are both in lightweight mode and I'd like to set them up for autonomous.
My problem is that I am NOT a company and cannot seem to get through to customer services to see if Cisco offers some form of account for individuals. Consequently, I haven't been able to download the files required for the APs. APs are refurbished, bought on Amazon.
Does Cisco offer any support of this type to individuals or am I barking up completely the wrong tree? If so, is there any other means of obtaining the necessary files? On googling for the files, all links lead to Cisco.
All help gratefully received. TJD

if you know the model of the AP and if you know the image name, google can help you.
or asking local cisco partner to download.

yes all point to cisco site, once you know the image name search with that name you get plenty download (but its all your risk)

That is incorrect.
A lot of IOS files are being hosted outside of Cisco. What is the filename in question?

2600/3600 & 2700/3700 use the same IOS file.
The RCV file is CAPWAP recovery IOS and it is of no use if the APs are going to be in autonomous.

Google the following:
ap3g2-k9w7-tar
See where it takes you.
That is all I am responding with.

Also note that all autonomous APs are now end of support so you can no longer get support for them from Cisco.
