Add Regulatory Domain in Cisco WLC

Hi Experts,

Are there going to have any issues if I add regulatory domain in Cisco WLC? We are using 8540s and the regulatory domain is currently set to Philippines. We are using universal APs and all of them were configured to PH domain as well. Since we are going to add a lot of APs in some other countries, then I need to add their regulatory domain as well. It says that I need to disable and re-enable radios.

Just want to make sure I don't break anything.

Thanks,

John

Unless those country specific APs are in same regulatory domain, I won't configure all those country codes on same WLC.

If you mix different regulatory domain country in same WLC, then power level & channel assignment may not be optimal

Thanks for the answer. I'm just going to enable what's needed and our APs are universal anyway so it will use the one that it is supposed to use in that country.

Thanks,

John
