Adding a new site to wireless controller

I am looking to see if the required steps to add a new site/location to my 5520 controller

There is no special steps really required, if the Layer 2 extended and AP are able to reach WLC and join the Controller.

 

Note : Make sure AP configured in the AP groups to replicate  the config of SSID and other stuff.

Hi,

 

you can connect new site without any special requirements. use below 2 methods.

 

1 . Local connect (connect APs using extended L2 network using IPVPN or other tunneling method)

2. flex mode connect (connect APs as remote devices which will do local switching without using connections to controller)

Just to add… make sure your controller has enough licenses and the code on the controller supports the model access point you have or plan to have in the other site(s).
