If you have an existing WLC you can configure it on WLC.

For other config options please refer the following Guide:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/access_point/1850/hardware/guide/ap1850hwguide.html

Hi Yashas,

You mean that i will be able to detect the new AP i plug in to the network on the Mobility Express Controller page even though the new AP does not have any IP address since there is no dhcp server leasing out ip for the new AP.

Both the Controller AP & the new AP are running the same image code (8.3.102.0).

1. set a static IP on AP, mask, gw.   Broadcast should then find controller.

2. Or else, set your Controller IP in your new AP.

1#lwapp ap ip address <IP address> <subnet mask>
1P#lwapp ap ip default-gateway <IP-address>
2P#lwapp ap controller ip address <IP-address>
