Hello,
I have WLC 5508 with 8.5.161.0 version and two types of accesspoints (AIR-AP1832I-I-K9 , AIR-CAP1602I-E-K9)
I have noticed that 1832 AP is showing the interfaces of 802.11a/n/ac is down and regulatory domain is not supported
but 1600 is supoorted
kindly advise

One AP has a Regulatory Domain of "-E" and the other has a Regulatory Domain of "-I".

so AP 1832i will not use 5Ghz right ?

That will depend on the configuration of the WLC.
Post the complete output to the WLC command "sh sysinfo".

AP with a Regulatory Domain of "-E" will work.

The 5 GHz interface might come up, but you're probably restricted to channels 36 - 48 on 5 GHz. The WLC typically takes only the common allowed channels if multiple regions are enabled.

so If I add another country code like Egypt as per attached and assign it to the AP it will work right?
"-E" and "-I" Regulatory Domain are "in conflict". The WLC will only allow certain channels, MCS rates which are "common" between the two Regulatory Domain and disable the rest.

Just to let you know, you can also add multiple countries in the WLC. You can shutdown the 2.4 and 5GHz and then add the new country
ap country XX,YY,ZZ
Then no shut the radios, go individually to AP's and change or you can do via CLI. Please refer the below article by Rasika.

You need to set the country under individual AP. (follow the document, Rasika has a very informative blog and one of my trusted resources for anything wireless)
Then reboot the AP. If it is not coming up, please post the console logs from AP.

Console into the AP and reboot the AP.
Post the entire boot-up process.
