AIR-AP1832I-I-K9 not support 802.11a/n/ac

Hello,

I have WLC 5508 with 8.5.161.0 version and two types of accesspoints (AIR-AP1832I-I-K9 , AIR-CAP1602I-E-K9)

I have noticed that 1832 AP is showing the interfaces of 802.11a/n/ac is down and regulatory domain is not supported

but 1600 is supoorted

I have choose the correct country from the AP but didn't solve the issue , I will try to reboot it and collect the logs

many thanks for you all

after the reboot the interface came up finally.

I have enabled the high throughput but the PCs stuck at 802.11a with low data rate however it support the 802.11g and 802.11ac

is there any extra steps to get the highest throughput from APs.

What connection speed does the PC exactly show?

If it's Windows, open a cmd and enter: netsh wlan show interface

There the receive and transmit rate is the interesting part.

make sure you have all the MCS rates enabled in the WLC.

With such a low signal it's no wonder it's working bad for this client. Are you sure the antennas are correctly attached and capable for 5 GHz?

This is assuming the client was within 5 meters of the AP. 

this AP "AIR-AP1832I-I-K9" has built in antenna and yes the client is less than 5 meters away from the AP

Ok, this client does have a good signal, but decided to only join with 54 Mbit/s. What kind of Wi-Fi adapter is inside this device?

You have enabled QoS and you limit the performance to 5 Mbps per client. Set those values to 0 to reach full throughput. 

I can notice the WIFI adapter support more than 54Mbps but it only stuck with 802.11a with 54Mbps as shown below

I don't know why it is not trying to join with high throughput although it is enabled at WLC and AP

At the moment I'm also unsure. The classic culprits seem to be correct (WMM allowed, TKIP disabled, WPA1 disabled) with the client connection, although they might be enabled. To be sure, can you output the result of 'show wlan 5'?
