Air-Cap1702: What is max users and range?

Hello Everyone,

I have 2 questions about the Cisco Air-CAP1702I-K-K9.

• What is the recommended and maximum number of conncurrent users this device supports?
• What is the recommended and maximum range of this device?

I've looked else where but can't seem to get any hard numbers.

Regarding distance based on the environment, required some site survey.

There are no hard numbers for max users or range. The rule of thumb is around 25 or less clients per ap and even lower if you have VoIP phones. Range depends on ap power and walls or objects that will attenuate the signal along with the client device. 2.4ghz doesn’t attenuate as much as 5ghz, so that is something else you need to consider.
What you should do is have a site survey done to determine the density of AP’s along with ap location to provide your minimum rssi and snr values along with overlap coverage.
