Hi,
I think I'm very close to going mad about my Cisco AP 1850 ... I just updated the AP's firmware to the lastest Mobility Express 8.2.100.0 version. After rebooting the device, its LED starts cycling red, green, amber and off. According to the manual, this error code is supposed to mean "AP waiting to be primed", but this apparently doesn't make any sense since the AP runs in Mobility Express mode. In addition, I can access the AP via an internet browser console, and wireless clients easily connect to the AP. Does anybody know what the reason for this error code could be and hwo to fix it?
In addition, has anybody figured out how a MAC filter can be applied in the Mobility Express settings? All of my mainstream DSL routers I had over the past 15 years had MAC filtering as a very basic feature implemented, and I wonder why this should not be the case for such a professional WLAN device like the 1850?
Thanks in advance for any help and for sharing your insights!
Thomas

Hi,
Wow, that was a quick one ... I have connected the AP to my 2960X switch again and it works fine now. Thanks a lot! It seems that this switch is obviously providing more power to its POE ports than my SG110D switch which I used during the update process.
Given that the solution of my problem was that simple, I am aware that it was a rookie question. However, what I noticed is that there seem to be numerous manuals and documents available around the AP 1850 series which made it hard for me to get an overview about all "standard" solutions before raising questions in a support community.
One last thing if I may: Is there a chance to apply MAC filtering under Mobility Express to my AP or is this feature only available in WLC hardware (like the 2504)?

You can configure MAC filtering on 2504 WLC refer the link : http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless-mobility/wlan-security/91901-mac-filters-wlcs-config.html#c2

Hey mate sorry for the off-topic, but have you configured any VLANs or Dynamic Interfaces on your device? I have spent a week trying to get it working probably with no success so far. Cheers.

Hi,
No, I haven't configured VLANs or Dynamic Interfaces on my 1850 yet. However, I have made the experience that the guys of the Cisco support team are very knowledgable and responsive. So I would recommend to describe the problem you had as detailed as possible - I would be surprised if these guys can't solve it. Bye.
