Hi Guys,

we are managing many WLCs and their associated APs.

I have observed that for few APs, Country code is changing automatically due to which 5Ghz band getting shut down.

is anyone had this experience, any cisco ref for changing this coutry code automatically?

 -   That is impossible , the AP manufactured country code is a native property and can not be changed, perhaps you are observing another problem : post logs and or screenshot(s) e.g,

When the mirror will then always repond to me with ' The only thing that exceeds your brilliance is your beauty! '

Actually i want to say when i associate 1 AP with 'US' as country code on WLC then after some period of time on WLC is it is showing other than 'US' which causing AP to affect its 5Ghz band.

So basically changes are happening on WLC and not on APs

Have you configured default country code to be US, or set any country code on AP Profile?

only default is there.

                    - What is the controller model and software version ?

 - As per    https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/wireless-lan-controller-software/200046-tac-recommended-aireos.html consider using https://software.cisco.com/download/specialrelease/bf886285a767f2f159f9b4cf288fe1b4

Also have a checkup of the controller configuration using WirelessAnalyzer procedure of AireOs  ; feed the output into
                            https://cway.cisco.com/wireless-config-analyzer/

I have never seen or heard of country code "changing automatically".
The country is set on the WLC.
The regulatory domain of the AP is hard coded into the AP hardware and cannot be changed.

You should be aware of: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/field-notices/704/fn70479.html
This field notice applies to specific AP models and serial numbers but I have heard of it happening on other APs.  If that is the case you'll see the same error messages.  Note that this is a manufacturing fault so it will not change, it will be that way from the moment the AP joins the controller.

So what AP model(s) are you seeing this problem with and have you checked them as per the field notice?

Also note that the current latest version of code is 8.10.185.3 (link below) which has a number of bug fixes since 8.10.183.0.
