I have an AIR-AP-1041N-A-K9
I'm trying to setup the AP for wireless networking.
As soon as I use a static IP (which I must), I can't connect to the AP at all. Not even using a web browser.
Making it simple, I open Putty and connect using the console cable. All I do is change the BVI1 IP address to a static IP.
- If I can connect via a web page, it would be a step in the right direction.
But as soon as I use a static IP, I am unable to connect to the unit via web.
Note: If I start the unit up and connect it to DHCP, the unit works fine. I can connect to it via web and all is good.
But I can't use DHCP on my network.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You.
Rick.

Have you checked that the static IP you're giving the AP isn't already set somewhere else in the network?

Yes. I pulled the AP and put it onto a stand-alone network in my office. All that it is plugged into is my linksys AP with no connections to anything. Just the two devices connected to one another using the linksys's DHCP.
