Hi,
We have a Air-AP2802 ap that is trying to connect to a wlc(set up on another 2802 Mobility Express). Software on the AP that is set up as the WLC is 8.3.132.0.
When connecting to the AP via console it seems like it get IP from the dhcp and discover the WLC and tries to download image from it. But from there it goes in an endless loop where it reboots and then try to do the same operation again.
The AP that is set up as WLC has 5 other AP`s connected to it so it is working. But when trying to set up the new ap it won`t connect.
Anyone that has experienced any similar issues or has any idea what might be causing this?
Output from the boot process:

Hi,
You are correct...The master AP facilitates transfer of image from TFTP to the new AP which is added.
Its the recommndation from cisco that "The bundle version(image) must be the same as the one running on the Master AP. "
here is the method to join:

Hi,
thanks for reply.
1. Both WLC and AP on same network or different subent?
* Same network
2. AP and WLC should be on same version? If not upgrade the AP to the same version...
* Shouldn`t the AP get the updated image from the WLC?

To confirm, you are running mobility express here and no WLC?
Asking because the relase notes of 8.3.132.0 + 8.3.133.0 state:
The Cisco Mobility Express wireless network solution is available starting from Cisco Wireless Release 8.3.133.0.
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/crn83mr3.html#c_mobility_express_rn
I thus suggest you first upgrade the software of your ME Master.

We are running it as mobility express and not a dedicated WLC. All ap`s including the master are running version 8.3.132, and are working. We have received a new ap (2802) and are trying to get it to join the master. But as it is running version 8.2 that explains it.
So are you suggesting that I have to upgrade the master or can I just try and upgrade the last ap to the same version?

Guess that if I now update the master to a newer version, the master will push the update out to the aps that are joined.
Anyways, thanks for input people. Appreciate it.

I'm having same issues on our AP AIR-AP2802I-K-K9 the current Version of WLC is 8.5.151.0 and the AP ver is 8.5.151.0.
We have deadzone issues in site in KL so we have this cisco AP AIR-AP2802I-K-K9 that has been previously been use on our 7th flr office. I'm planning to add it on 15flr. But as per IT team this hasn't been used for 2 years. I reset it 4 times and reload it and still getting this message. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

That screenshot is not useful.
Either give us the complete picture or contact TAC. And good luck dealing with TAC!

After the reset this what i'm getting. Restart DHCP Client.
I did check the ver of WLC and they are both 8.8.151.0 I reset the AP 4 times and didn't fix the issue. Also I relaod it multiple times nothing happens. On ARP it show incomplete. May I know why is that?
