I have a question regarding Auto-RF with the Cisco Controllers.
1. Does Auto-RF require a specific number of AP's to function correctly? 4 AP's minimum is what I have heard.
Thanks!
Sean.

Hi Sean,
The Transmit Power Control (TPC) Algorithm (used in Radio Resource Management or auto-rf) adjusts an APs transmit power down when the third loudest neighbor is heard at -65dBm (default value) or greater. That's likely where you got the minimum number.
There's much more to RRM than TPC. For an in-depth and well-written explanation of RRM, please read the document at the following URL:

Hi Sean,
Just to add a note to Ben's always excellent info. This parameter may have been the one that you heard of.
Power Neighbor Count (3) - The minimum number of neighbors an AP must have for the TPC algorithm to run. This is a display-only field and cannot be modified.
Take care guys!
Rob
