Hi to all,
just a short question.
Hi to all
We have a wireless controller and want to reach airprint services in the wired lan via wireless clients.
Do we need multicast routing in our LAN or just bonjour gateway mdns on the controller.
Of course, it is a L3 environment.
Thanks in Advance

Take a look at the WLC Bonjour Gateway deployment guide
Normally if you are using local mDNS devices connected to wired segments then you will need multicast routing enabled on the wired side as well. Same if you are using Flexconnect

Hi,
thanks for quick answering. One more question.
What about the service-Routing mdns Feature.
I am completely lost with that feature.
Any ideas. I thought I can use it instead of multicast routing
Thanks in advance
Regards
Alex

Hi Alex,
"service-routing mdns" is an old CLI structure. The new and simplified Bonjour configuration model is supported from 16.11.1 release onwards.
Yes you need AP Multicast between WLC and APs, but there are no other Multicast requirements for Wired or Wireless Client VLANs. If your Wired and Wireless Bonjour gateways switches are in different systems, then you may need to consider Wide Area Bonjour that is supported in Cisco DNA-Center.
We hope to post multiple content in following page sometime by next week:
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/solutions/enterprise-networks/dna-service-bonjour.html
But in meantime you may find some configuration example in below URL: (Step-11)
thanks,
rahul.
